Tag Rugby

In the early Spring Wallace Fields Junior School normally takes part in an annual borough rugby tournament for boys and girls at the chilly Priest Hill.  A rugby team is normally selected and trains at lunchtime leading up to the tournament.

In the past parents/carers have very kindly volunteered to help with the rugby team training. If this is something that you would be able to do please do contact Mr Sellars via the School Office on Office1@wallacefields-jun.surrey.sch.uk.

Children who are taking part in tag rugby teams need to bring on training and  match days the following essential items: a change of clothes (that may get muddy) and football / rugby / astro boots.

Match Reports

Our Upper School Tag Rugby team travelled to Auriol School last Friday 7th June 2024. It was a high scoring match with many exciting moments. Fast pace rugby was on display from both team and it was great to see Oz and Daniel W working together to produce some text book off loads resulting in great tries. Also great to see the pace and endurance from Edgar and Jaydon. Despite these amazing efforts Auriol's quick hands edged them ahead. Player of the Match goes to Elliot W who was always there to support players whilst finding gaps and making some amazing runs. Many thanks to the players and parents for coming to support the game.
