On Friday 26th September 2025 we celebrated languages from around the world. All children got involved and had a fantastic day including here is a blog from Year 4.
The Year 4 children enjoyed learning some Chinese words and phrases before welcoming two wonderful parent volunteers into the classroom. They shared their Ukrainian and Romanian languages, along with traditions that brought these cultures to life.
Thank you so much to the following parents who made the day so memorable by sharing their language, culture and traditions with the children in such a fun and engaging way. Thank you to Rosie's Mum in 3D who spoke about Mandarin, Adva's mum in 3T who spoke about Telugu, Tanya and Nathaniel's Mums who came in to Year 4 to talk about Ukrainian and Romanian, Musa's Mum who spoke to Year 6 about Chinese.
It was especially lovely to see children embracing their own language roots and wearing beautiful traditional clothing with such pride.
