As many of you may have already heard, we are busy raising funds to develop our school library - a hugely important part of our school environment.
Our Readathon will kick off on Monday 21st June and finish on 9th July. We would love for family and friends to sponsor your children in their reading! This can be done by sponsoring them to read pages of a book (if they are reading through a huge tome!) or for the amount of books that they read.
Sponsorship money can be collected by parents and donated on Scopay under “Readathon Sponsorship 2021” . If you unable to do this, we are happy to collect cash which can be handed in a named envelope to school. We are trying to move to a cashless School Office, but we are keen to raise as much money as possible. Good luck everyone with your reading.
Travelling Book Fair
The Book Fair will be arriving at Wallace Fields Junior School next week, with hundreds of new children’s books to browse and buy. Children will be invited in during the school day in their year group bubbles to browse the books and write a wish list which they will bring home. Parents/carers can then purchase them online using Book Fair purchases can now be paid for via their secure online payment system. Just click here.
Please ensure you enter the school name to help us raise funds for the school library – two years ago we raised over £700 and bought books for two whole year groups, as well as many new titles for the library.
Book Fair purchases can now be paid for via our secure online payment system. Just visit https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/travelling-books/pay
