It was fantastic to meet with the WFJS Book Club groups in person this week, especially the new Year 3 group, who were all so excited enthusiastic to share their love of books and reading. The children had been very busy over lockdown and we discussed our favourite reads and newly discovered authors. Each group then voted from a choice of books for their next read. They are as follows:
Year 3 voted between Doctor Proctor’s Fart Powder by Jo Nesbo, The Chocolate Factory Ghost by David O’Connell and The Great Hamster Massacre by Katie Davies and will read…The Chocolate Factory Ghost by David O’Connell
Year 4 voted between The Deadly 7 by Garth Jennings, Troofriend by Kirsty Applebaum and My Life as a Cat by Carlie Sorosiak and will read…My Life as a Cat by Carlie Sorosiak
Year 5 voted between The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh by Helen Rutter and The Voyage of the Sparrowhawk by Natasha Farrant and will read… The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh by Helen Rutter
Year 6 voted between The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh by Helen Rutter and Orphans of the Tide by Struan Murphy and will read… Orphans of the Tide by Struan Murray
