Former pupil, member of the England Rugby Team (number 11) and the Exeter Chiefs is visiting us next week. Claudia visited last year and chatted to the children and donated a signed shirt for display in school. As you may know already, Claudia was a pupil here at Wallace Fields Juniors where she excelled in all sports including tag rugby, football and netball. She was also successful academically and her mum was a teacher here for a time. I invited Claudia in during the summer term to talk about women in sport and to inspire our girls to really go for it if they wanted to be successful. She is returning to promote sustainability and how we can be more mindful of things to help the planet - a topic very close to her heart. She will also teach one class a rugby skills lesson - the class with the most house points will win this opportunity. We all look forward to seeing Claudia again and the newsletter will include details of her visit
