Our latest Ofsted was May 2022. The feedback in the parent questionnaire was extremely strong and the staff survey was also outstanding. The Ofsted were very impressed and all areas were very good.

They also noted that

“Pupils love coming to this school to see their friends and to learn new things together. They are engaged in lessons because they are cared for by a team of committed staff who work together very well.”

“Attitudes to learning are consistently strong. Pupils know how to learn, are resilient to setbacks and take pride in their achievements. Pupils move around the school sensibly and are very polite. They are proud of how kind and friendly their school is. Pupils love reading, and most pupils achieve very well because there is an ambitious curriculum built securely on reading for pleasure”

The Ofsted framework has been changed four times since our last inspection and with a clear agenda to only award 10% of schools outstanding they gave the school a good judgement despite the feedback given by inspectors of us being superb, seeing outstanding behaviour and support, observing very strong curriculum teacher and learning, strong inclusion, exceptional safeguarding and a very strong school ethos that really values the children’s wellbeing.

Many parents were extremely angry at this judgement and we are very grateful for your support and understanding that the school is outstanding in your eyes, however, and as ever, we are a progressive and excellent school that focuses on the children. We will continue to move forward and this will include improving bits mentioned like the phonics scheme and those SEN children who have joined very recently.

We remain a very proud and excellent maintained school in Surrey and we hope you can visit the school to see the school in action.
