Thank you to those parents who take time to give feedback about things they have been impressed or pleased with. Sometimes the feedback is verbal, I am approached on the gate, sometimes it is in the form of an email and other times parents/carers mention things to the office staff or teachers that really make a huge difference. That feedback is vital and forms a big part of the motivation for staff and it is good to know what we are doing well. I recently heard how happy the Year 3 parents are with how their child is loving school here at the juniors and feedback from a parent who works at Glynn school who said that the Wallace Fields Juniors children were always top performing, polite and very well informed. I also had a huge amount of positive emails regarding the banning of smartphones in September and this reinforced our decision to do this and reinforced the feeling that this was a necessary step to help improve the safety and wellbeing of the children.
I am always keen to hear new ideas and viewpoints from our parent/carer community and I would be especially pleased to hear of our big push on increasing celebration of
diversity, improving equality and encouraging access for our non-English speaking parents - if they could let us know how we are doing or what lessons and efforts were
making a difference for them.
If you have a few minutes please do send an email with your thoughts, comments and ideas to office1@wallacefields-jun.surrey.sch.uk and tell us.
