Pobble365 are working alongside Times Table Rock Stars (TTRs) to inspire young writers and mathematicians! Pobble365 release a new image or photo every day of the year to inspire writers. They provide story starters, word banks and examples to help children be creative with their writing - being exposed to a wide range of genres and images to write about. The image for the TTRs inspired story is below with an example story starter. The children do not need to use this story starter if they do not want to, although they can and continue on from it. If any children want to enter this TTRs writing competition, please share your short story/paragraph on Google Classroom and we can celebrate these in an upcoming assembly. Please share any stories or paragraphs by 25th October 2024 so we can celebrate after the half term. We can also upload some to the Pobble website to share worldwide!

Story starter: Beneath an amber evening sky, Jerry trudged along a path on the outskirts of town. It had been a long day at school and they were eager to get home. Suddenly, the rumble of cars in the distance was interrupted by an electrifying guitar solo piercing the air... it was coming from what Jerry thought was an abandoned warehouse. Overcome with curiosity, they peeked through a window and discovered the legendary Times Tables Rock Stars band performing a secret gig. Mesmerised, Jerry stayed hidden, watching the show through the window... until the lead singer, Baz, stopped the music and began waving... directly at Jerry.
