So this summer, victory arrives at Wallace Fields Juniors after we took the trophy for the District Sports. The children were committed, worked as a team and did their very best. This time their best was good enough as we won the whole event and defeated many schools form across the county! I am so proud of them for their achievement and details are below. My special thanks to Mr Sellars who coordinated the teams and competitors for District Sports. Below is the sports report from Mr Sellars and some photos of the event.

"An amazing win took place on Thursday 12th July 2024 at the District Sports Track Events. Starting with the Year 5 & 6 800m, Year 3 and Year 4 300m saw our athletes take part in some nail biting performances. All our participants gave it everything they had. Pacing the races with perfection saw Wallace Fields Junior School athletes stream ahead of the competition. Next up was the sprints - Year 3 & 4 80m and Year 5 and 6 100m. Again great running technique and display of power saw a stream of great results.

Finally there was the relay. So exciting to watch our athletes demonstrated team cohesion on the track. Smooth baton changeovers excelled above the competition and again Wallace Fields Junior School were victorious. Thank you to all our competitors, also thanks to Louise Wilson for placement judging and Miss Kift and Jamie Day for keeping the athletes safe and happy. Also big thank you to all the supporters." Coach Sellars.
