Over the next week or so, the children will have the opportunity to run in heats for the cross-country race happening on Friday 9th October 2026. Each year group will select 16 boys and 16 girls to represent their house. Children will be told if they are participating. If your child is selected, they must bring their PE kit to school in a bag (unless they already have a PE lesson that day, in which case they will already be wearing their PE kit). Children are welcome to wear a t-shirt which represents their house colour. Please make sure they have a water bottle too. Parents and carers are welcome to come and watch the event. Entry will be via the field gates, using the alley way. The approximate timings are as follows:
- 2:15pm - Lower school girls' race
- 2:25pm - Lower school boys' race
- 2:40pm - Upper school girls' race
- 2:50pm - Upper school boys' race
The children will not be released until the usual pick-up time.
