We would like your child to represent Wallace Fields Junior School in the District Track event on Thursday 11th June 2026 at Xcel Sports Hub, Waterside Dr, Walton-on-Thames KT12 2JP from 9.30am to 1.00pm.
Parents/Carers of selected children have now been emailed.
Parents/Carers will need to take the competitor straight to the Xcel Sports Centre in the morning for 9.30am where you will need to register with Mr Sellars. Please do not arrive earlier than 9.30am as there is an event beforehand which means you will not be able to enter earlier. You can park in the leisure centre further down the road if there is no space in Xcel. Long distance runners will race first, so please be on time. Please report to Mr Sellars on arrival and departure. Parents are welcome to stay if they wish.
All supporters are extremely welcome. Children will then need to be collected at 1.00pm and brought back to Wallace Fields Junior School. Parents must remain outside the track or in the viewing stand during the competition.

The children will need to wear their clean School PE kit and trainers, which they may wear to school for the day or change into their uniform before they return to school. They will be provided with a school athletics vest before the event They must bring a water bottle, a named sunhat and sun cream. Children will need to bring a snack and packed lunch with a drink to the event and will need to eat before they return to school. No nuts please or food containing nuts. No fizzy drinks please.
