Parents of children selected will be emailed with the following information and a google form to complete.
We would like to invite the following children to take part in a sporting event – Introduction to New Age Kurling on Friday 21st November 2025 at Dorking Sports Centre, Reigate Road, Dorking RH4 1SN. Children do not need to come to school first, you need to drop off at 9.45am for 10am start and the event should be finished by 11.30am.
The following 8 children have been invited:
• 3D – Danyal I and Caleb W
• 3T – Bobby D and Sophie B
• 4C – Thomas B and Aliki M
• 4K – Ethan R and Faye L
The children will complete a series of target-based team skills and drills stations before taking part in New Age Kurling matches. This is an Inspire event open to all, especially those who do not generally represent the school at sporting events. It is targeting the least active or engaged and SEND, with emphasis on participating in new activities and skills. There will be some low-level competition but no overall winner.
Pupils should dress in PE kit or sportswear. They are advised to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack. Please can they bring their school uniform with them so they can get changed into that after the training.
There is limited space in the sports hall so we cannot accommodate spectators for the duration of the event, however parents who are collecting their children from the venue are welcome to arrive from 11:15am to watch the final matches. Pay & Display parking for cars and minibuses is available on site.
We will need parents/carers to arrange transport to and from Dorking Sports Centre. If you are unable to help with lifts then we will need you to arrange a lift share with another parent. Please complete the Google form by clicking here to confirm that your child will or will not be attending and if you have made any lift share agreements with another parent. We will expect children to be dropped back into school for lunch.
