Parents/carers of the upper school choir have been emailed with a Google link to confirm they give permission to attend the Music Festival at Epsom College on Tuesday 30th September 10.30am-4.20pm. They will join other local schools for their annual Music Festival, led by the Director of Music, Mr Paul Johnson-Hyde. I know it will be a lovely day, the children will be taught some songs and how to be part of a large choir. There will then be a short concert for parents at the end of the day (please see invite below from Epsom College).
On the day, children will be expected to come to school as normal and we will walk them to Epsom College ready for a 10:30am start. We have two school volunteers who have offered to accompany Mrs Baxter and myself, but we need an extra parent volunteer to stay for the day as well (I will be taking around 45 children and we need the correct adult: pupil ratio). If you are able to help, please could you indicate this on the google form below. We will need you to meet us in the school office at 9.30am as we will be leaving around 9.45am.
Children will not need to bring anything with them on the day apart from a raincoat as water and lunch are provided. If they can leave school bags at home that makes things a lot easier as they tend to get in the way (and please, definitely no fidget toys or books – we will be busy rehearsing!) Children need to wear full winter uniform (shirt and tie) so we look smart for the concert.
Epsom College are very kindly providing refreshments for parents/carers (in Main Hall at 3.30pm) before a little end of the day concert at 4pm (in Big School). We would be delighted if you could join us for the children’s final performance. Please see invitation at the end of this letter.
If you are not able to attend the concert, please arrange for your child to be collected from the main entrance of Epsom College at 4.20pm.
If your child would like to take part in this event, please complete the google form sent on Monday 15th September by email to upper school choir members parents/carers. Please respond by this Friday 19th September 2025 as Epsom college need to organise the catering.
