School Meals are cooked on the premises, although the children may bring a packed lunch if you prefer. We believe that eating together is an important part of the child's social education and so we discourage children from going home for lunch.
As part of our Healthy School Programme we encourage children to bring a fruit /vegetable snack for the morning break and healthy packed lunches containing fruits and wholemeal breads rather than crisps and chocolate. Children are not permitted to bring fizzy drinks or any foods containing nuts in any of their packed lunches including those taken on a school journey.
It is important for children’s learning that they are well hydrated, therefore we encourage children to bring in a small water bottle each day to supplement the water that is already available either from the water fountains or the water coolers in every year group.
Registration: 8.50 a.m.
Lunch: 12.10 p.m. - 1.10 p.m.
Lessons finish: 3.30 p.m.
When leaving children at school and collecting them from school please park with courtesy and consideration for our neighbours.
Our Attendance Policy states that no authorisation will be given for any family holidays during term time, for any year group. Authorisation will only be given for absence, other than illness and medical appointments in Exceptional Circumstances, for example compassionate reasons.
Please refer to our Online Attendance Policy for information on Penalty Charges for unauthorised absences. A letter requesting absence from school should be addressed to the Headteacher.

CHANGES TO ARRANGEMENTS FOR COLLECTING CHILDREN
AFTER “AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS”
Please wait outside the Main School Gate to collect your child, the club leader will be responsible for escorting children to the front gate where they will be handed over to Parents / Carers. Children in Year 6 that walk home on their own, should hand in a letter or send an e-mail for the attention of the Club Leader to confirm your arrangements. To maintain the safety of the children reasons all gates are closed at 4.00pm and collection from all clubs and afterschool activities will be from the front gate only.
NEW PROCEDURES FOR BEFORE SCHOOL CLUBS
To ensure the safety of our children the back gate will not be open until 8.40 a.m. Children attending the early starters clubs must come into school via the School Office. Mr Findlay will be manning the front gate from 7.45 a.m.
